I recon they should start with Stairway to heaven , get it out of the way , then it takes the pressure off.

I'm going, and would be happy if they did not play it at all!

Didn't Jason Bonham say they would start with "Good Times, Bad Times"?

I'll be interested to see if they play Stairway, given Plant's oft-stated dislike of the song........ (surely they will?!)

According to a recent JPJ interview, they will.

I always thought The Lemon Song would be a great opener!

Does anyone know if this is getting broadcast on tv?

"Rock and Roll" - it's gotta be.

Rock and Roll is good - Black Dog is way better.

Incidentally, Stairway is the first song I ever sang in public and I just don't think Zep could do it justice after I made it my own (or should that read "made it my moan?"...it was a long time ago). Not my fave, I have to say.

For that sort of money I would insist they started with Tenpole Tudor's Swords Of A Thousand Men which then segues into And The Native Hipsters' Oh Look There Goes Concorde Again - but then I have always been a raging optimist.

Even I'd pay good money to see Led Zep do There Goes Concord Again, even more if they could pull of a tricky segue into the first two sides of Cyborg by Klaus Schulze and then Mingus' Black Saint...

Klaus Schulze.........you will be wanting them to play Stratosfear by Tangerine Dream next!

"Rock and Roll" - it's gotta be. This was the first song I EVER played live myself and a great opener.

Word from rehearsals was Rock 'n' roll - the opening lyric is just so apt on this occasion. At first I was cynical about the whole thing - now wish I was going but would be gutted if they didn't play Going To California.

Is the gig being braodcast anywhere, or will it go straight to DVD as the Cream re-union one did? Mind you, the Cream one was on tv some time after the concerts, although before the DVD release...

What else?!

The rumour is a world tour, is this just wishful thinking?

This is what was played at the rehearsal:
"Good Times Bad Times"
"Ramble On"
"In My Time Of Dying"
"No Quarter"
"Nobody's Fault But Mine"
"D'yer Mak'er"
"Communication Breakdown"

And some pics:http://www.gettyimages.com/Search/Search.aspx?EventId=78302346#

No sign of Rock'n'Roll but I still think this could be the first song played.
Looking forward to downloading a recording of the concert hopefully sometime tomorrow.

Rock 'n' Roll would be an appropriate start song.

Wish I was there!!

Just saw a clip on the news - I think it was Rock n Roll followed by Black Dog or summat. What a cop out!

Good choice if true.

Just seen this on the news . I like the ticketing arrangements with the wristbands, positive ID etc. Hopefully bands and promotors will do more like this to drive ticket tout scum off of e-bay etc and give the genuine fan, or at least all folk an equal oppurtunity to buy individual or small groups of tickets at face value.

You'll have to be quick with the video! (http://www.channel4.com/music/features/L/led-zeppelin-the-song-remains-the-same-concert-film.html)

Wow! Just got back from the best gig I've ever been to!

Bit concerned at first, as they seemed a bit nervous and Pagey's guitar seemed way down in the mix, but I shouldn't have worried as once they'd warmed up - it was just awesome.

Highlights for me were Nobody's Fault but Mine and in particular a blistering version of Kashmir which was the most exciting live sound I've ever heard. Simply magnificent.

It was definitely recorded for possible future release (hell, I think me and the wife will be on it if we make the final edit!) as there was a notice just outside the arena saying just that, and reminding people that they were permitting usage of their image in any future DVD release.

Rock & Roll :)
