Just been listening to Relics.

Remember a day, has to be my all time favorite Pink Floyd song.

Thats a toughie. Dogs, Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Lost For Words (from the newer stuff), Fearless. They are my favourites today, but moods change, and so will my favourites.

Thought about this for a while. Pink Floyd my favourite band many moons ago. Just can't choose a few tracks as it feels vaguely insulting to that 'time & place'.

Arnold Layne, See Emily Play, Lucifer Sam, Interstellar Overdrive, Set The Controls, Saucerful Of Secrets, Main Theme from More, Cyrus Minor. If I really had to pick one I'd probably go for See Emily Play as it is just a perfect psyche pop song. I've got the 7" single too (Arnold Layne as well).

Tony.

Set the controls for the heart of the sun.

From their later incarnation/s Honourable mention for Learning To Fly - not the best song ever but conjures up some great images and a certain wistfulness.

I'll have to throw in obscured by clouds and learning to fly since no-one else has mentioned them. Its all down to mood.....

Lots to pick from, ''One of These Days'' has a place on my list.
Also ''Embryo'' a rare track that I hope will make me some money :)

No one gone for 'several species of small furry animals gathered together in a cave and grooving with a Pict' then? ;)
Always have a soft spot for Granchester Meadows which got me into hi-fi.
Comfortably Numb high on the list of favourites

Point Me at the Sky.

Why this never made it onto any of the compilations I don't know (apart from a brief run of the 'Best of' with the 'wooden' cover or the megabux "Shine On" box set) it's a far stronger record than, say, "Julia Dream" or "Apples and Oranges".

Honourable mentions also to: "Green is the Colour", "Echoes", "What's..Uh..the deal" and the whole of the "Saucerful...." album.

But please, nothing after 1973 when we get stuck into Roger Waters' 8 year "piss 'n' whinge".

Echoes - topped John Peel's festive fifty for a year or two - listened on transistor radio in bed. Always fell asleep before it finished. Jumpers for goal-posts etc etc

Animals featured in Peel's top albums in '77, I believe.
