Hello

First post ever, just got a S/H ATC SIA 2-150 and was looking for opinions regards cables and interconnects. Speakers are Wilson Benesch Arcs. I see there was a post back in Feb 2007 but I can't seem to access it.

Thanks

ive had both of these items, very good selection. i've just put quite a few cables up in the classifieds. i know the ecosse MS2.3 monocrystal cables work very well the the arcs and the ATC Amp. what CDP are you using? is the ATC the MK1 and how old are the Arcs?

PS welcome, this is a great forum, stick around.

I have had the Arcs about 18 months, ex dem from Loud and Clear in Glasgow.
ATC is the new "Art Deco" model. No CDP at the moment other than a Pioneer 565 (the sort that Townsend changes into a 2.5K player) traded amp and cdp to get ATC. I am probably going down the line of a TT for serious listening and HQ downloads.I am using a Mac mini and a V dac for streaming, I am going to let the DAC market settle a bit before upgrading the V dac unless something tasty comes along cheap. Probably will try the 565 through the v dac for a laugh. As you may have gathered I am an tight git.

P.S.
Thanks for the welcome

so the speakers are run-in then, hopefully so is the Amp. streaming is the way forward i agree. i've given up on CDP 101%.. they're just too unreliable and about to become obsolete very soon IMHO. i use a Server, Benchmark HDR DAC and ATC 50ASL's as of yesterday.:)

Jealous of the 50s, had 35s before the arcs, stunning but I just lusted after the arcs. What do you use for the server and how do like the the Benchmark? I, for everyday listening, use napster, not HQ I know but fantastic value at £5 a month - so much music- so little time.

i use the netgear SC101T 2TB NAS drive, iTunes and all discs ripped to ALAC. then streamed via an Airport Express into the BM DAC1-HDR via optical. its then controlled via a dedicated windows laptop and an iPhone. the system only landed yesterday lunchtime and is all brand new but its running in very nicely - loving what it does. the 50's sound massive in comparison to the Arcs..... my music is mostly electronica, folk, and abstract stuff. I tried BM's Advanced USB connection and think the AE sound exactly the same as long as the files are lossless
