Just sitting this AM listening to Mixing It. I'd set the VCR to record it from Radio 3 last night.
A cracking programme with interviews from a lot of good Montreal musicians and sound collage creators inc. Godspeed You Black Emperor, A Silver Mt Zion and other Constellation acts/side projects, a whacky turntablist Martin Tétrault who uses turntables with bits of sandpaper and plastic letting the stylus get smashed up by the surface as a sound source (I think he was taking too many drugs or taking the piss to be honest) good interview with Jeff Waye (of Ninja Tune) and a lot of avant-enviromental electo acoustic noodlings.
Tinglesomely fun.
Details and a "listen again" can be found on http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio3/mixingit/pip/n6yka/
