Love the look of the room Scott, comfy chair, and I'm sure the system gels well together. Any plans on upgrading the LP12?

Thanks. Yes, it's a lovely room for serious listening and especially cosey when the Sydney winter comes and I can light the fire again.

The system does have a lovely synergy and Naim works so well with Kudos.

Upgraditus is always on the horizon and my next step is to upgrade the LP12 by changing the Ittok for an Ekos SE The Tangerine Plateau was such a massive leap upwards (as good as a Keel in my opinion) that the Ekos SE is the natural progression.

In the longer term I have my sights set on a NAC552 and a NAP500 when finances allow

Many thanks Gary.

Old houses are much rarer here in Sydney so I was delighted to find this one.

I'm originally from Brighton so I miss the UK architecture.

A small request.

If anyone is quoting a post with lots of pictures, and adding merely a one-line comment, could they maybe consider editing the quote, and removing all but one of the pictures? Just leave the first or best one in the quote?

It's easy to do, just scroll up and remove one or more IMG tags by highlighting and deleting

Makes the thread less cluttered.

Beautiful setup! I'm curious to know what type of plinth the lp12 sits in?

Thanks, john

Only real change in 2015 was with the speakers, my Rega R9s were out on long term loan so I played around with a few speakers (Kord Tornado, Tannoy Stirling HE) but settled on some cheap Vandersteens, very very happy with them.
The SME M2-9 and AT33PTG/II cart were added as well.
I think only a new CDP instead of the Sony at some point, mainly something smaller that will fit on top of the Bryston.

The sight of an LP12 with an Ittok still makes my heart race. That was my aspirational Hifi item when I started working.

Vandersteen make very nice speakers. The local hi-fi shop carries them, and I'm always impressed when I drop in for a listen.

Scott - looks like a wood suspended floor you have there. any probs with vibration and your LP12? Have you considered a wall mount?

Beautiful room

The walls of the room are acoustic panels on battens with uthermo behind , the ceiling is more the same , but solid , not slotted and pierced like the walls. The ceilings have "faux rock" diffusion .. fully configurable listening chair.

Changes planned for this year are to change the doors to the room to proper acoustic doors , a new decent touchscreen tablet to control the whole system , 2 more SVS subs and if I can afford it , another Devialet to make it a dual monoblock system.

What I wouldn't give to chill in that chair and use that ashtray.
