Depends on the reserve. I would ask him to upgrade the delivery service if it was me buying it, I wouldn't think it would arrive unscathed via hermes.

They are terrible, I don't bid if I see their name. I've had parcels left in the bin, in the recycling box, they once threw a parcel over the back garden hedge, claimed that one back through ebay, found it days later , utterly ridiculous service.

My recent Hermes delivery arrived with the packaging completely split open and 3/4 of the contents missing. We were in when it was delivered but the driver didn't knock or ring the bell. Just chucked the torn packaging in our porch.

Luckily, as every bu@@er does these days, they sent me a 'How was your experience with Hermes?' email survey afterwards. I didn't hold back. I doubt they care.

In short, no. Many of these 'new' cheap turntables are simply rubbish.

Spend a bit more or buy an old DD from Technics, JVC, Trio - quite a few options.

Same here...and it was raining at the time!

The thought of a turntable being delivered by Hermes chills the blood.
