Looks like some mutant cut ‘n’ shut of two Garrard 4HF decks.

Do I remember reading about a proposed early form of Stereo using two mono spirals cut on to one side?

I guess it was someone’s attempt at getting a LP and 78 capability without having to fart about changing heads. Maybe mono/stereo.

Ah yes, Emory Cook of Cook Laboratories and Cook Records.

The famous Cook "Clip-on"...

Or for the full monty Cook Records experience, the Livingston Electronic Corporation Tonearm...

Interestingly, the Livingston was the first tonearm that required low mass, high compliance cartridges, as the two independent vertically floating sub arms were of very low mass.
