It's the bloke that leads Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra (contemporary, US-based take on Nigerian afrobeat, doesn't sound much like this).
Similar? Thievery Corporation are more down-beat / modern easy-listening. Try 'Richest Man in Babylon'.
