1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

I'm watching Nightflyers on Netflix. It's incredibly frustrating when SF ignores science and show this is full-on in that respect. The ship makes no sense, they seem to have solved FTL communication and deal with alien bio-material without any protection—oh and the ship's computer is insane.

Why do they always crew ships with crazy people with death-wish fantasises (Event Horizon and Sunshine, I'm looking at you)?

It's actually quite like EH too. I should have stopped at ep. 3.

Id that 'horribly dull' instead of 'horribly, really dull'?

I'm generally fine with words—but numbers are always dancing about. It's a bugger for a scientist.

    On Netflix.
    • The Kominsky Method was a gateway apparently, and now we're enjoying Grace and Frankie! S2 so far is even better than S1.
    • The Dragon Prince S2 is coming soon. S1 was a good surprise for us, we like the quirky humour.

Russian Doll, Netflix. Entertaining, time loop, Groundhog Day kind of thing set in NYC.

Andrew C! Been around a while....

Watched the film Close, after seeing the lead acresss on Graham Norton the other week. I found it very watchable, if you like Bourne etc.

Myself and wife watched all four episodes back to back.

It's a crazy story. I didn't know any of it.
The bits when he was held in jail in Aspen were comical.

It shows how important tech is for the police. He'd have only lasted a few months in today's world IMO

Just started watching Russian Doll, two episodes in and it's starting to unfold rather intriguingly.

Anyone mentioned Rebellion yet? Drama set around the Easter Rising. Only watched the first couple, but very good so far.

I hate Russian dolls - they're always full of themselves..

Watched Sour Grapes (Netflix) last night - the story of how the top end of the international wine market was wrecked by one guy and why some people could not believe he cheated them out of £ms even when he got a hefty jail sentence.

Expanse Season 3 just popped up on Amazon Prime. Not started it yet but hopefully it will be decent.

The Two Killings of Sam Cooke. Netflix. Probably mentioned earlier.
Could have done without Allan Klein in the music business !

First episode is superb. They have really nailed the characters from the books. Its rare SF on TV gets both the techno-geek and the human elements right.

Scary stuff to come though, as/if they follow the books.
