1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

    I meant size, roundness and taper of the moving piston in contact with the seal.
    See if there are any Japanese companies, they are very good at detail.
    Normally the seal is a standard size and the piston and cylinder are made within tolerances to fit. Specials are usually more expensive than standard.

    You will definitely need to hire an experienced toolmaker. But as a mate of mine who owns a tooling company (supplies huge molds for the automotive industry) reminds me - he finds it very hard to recruit good toolmakers - they are not hanging on trees.

    you could take a placement student, some very good automotive engineering students around.....

    hi, there is a place in nottingham, called Sprint Engineering, they make things for bikes, they make a fab steering damper of their own design, amongst other things, might be worth giving them a call,
