1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

I went there once and there wasn't much there at all if I remember correctly. Pleasant little town though.

Bg records are based there, run by my old boss andy of andys records fame. But I'm not sure if they have a high street presence or are only online
EDIT: sorry, that would be bgo records https://www.bgo-records.com/

No record shops at all, unless you count the likes of Sainsbury's- I don't.

At least the last time I was there, and had been like that since Andy's closed many years ago.

There is also an Oxfam books and music shop just around the corner at the top of St. Johns St. (the end nearer the town centre), though you may have better luck with CDs than vinyl there as I think they may cherry pick what goes on the shelf and list the best stuff on line. If you're looking to eat while you're there, I can recommend 'Gastrono-me', also on St Johns St., opposite side to Vinyl Hunter and nearer the town centre end of the street. The Middle Eastern platter is great if you're after vegetarian, the pie and mash is also lovely if you're a meat eater.

Sorry, just something I vaguely remember from the radio years ago.

I joined not long after the Beat (in Regent Street) and Mill Road moved to Fitzroy St, working in the downstairs (new) department.

My sister worked in Andy's Records in Norwich during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Fantastic record shop.

I was in Norwich a few weeks ago when I visited the UK and I walked past and felt nostalgic. It's a clothing shop now.

There was also a branch in Lowestoft.

    Bygone days...

I think that must have been a little bit before I worked there, which was when Boz was manager (though at the time he was on secondment to more of an area/floating manager from memory). A poorly paid, hugely enjoyable job, probably much like working in music shops the world over.
