1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Been to see the Tish Murtha
in a similar vein perhaps theres' Radical Visions at FourCorners, Roman Rd, Bethnal Green - thinking of popping down to that tomorrow.
I see Chick Chalmers is mentioned amongst the photographers shown - he taught me printing at Napier, A lovely man lost far too early to cancer.

Visa Pour l'Image in Perpignan next month. Lots of exhibitions throughout the town. I've been several times and it's well worth a trip if you enjoy photojournalism.

All free, here's a link to the venues in the town where there are exhibitions...

I do not know if this show is worth visiting but it sounds as if it could be quite impressive. The Centre for Creative Photography in Tucson sent me details of a visit they are organising.

    Dates 8 - 11 November.

    by William Lakin
He's not doing too badly since graduating in 2013 (BA - MA in 2017) - perhaps you'd prefer some of his other work

a rather hungover Will the morning after the Degree show opening

he clearly has an eye for composition and colour, but i really don't like the ironic (or cynical) art-school approach to subject matter.

I did a show with Will a few years back. He's an excellent young man, and a very decent photographer. He ran some b&w darkroom workshops for the community darkroom I used to run, and he was impressively focused. Glad to see he's doing well.

Vanessa Winship is my favourite living photographer, I think. Her book, She Dances on Jackson, is a stone cold classic.

Hi Vuk, hope you are well. Been working on a project for the last two years which I need to finish this year. When I've edited and printed it I'll put it online (moved house in April and won't have my darkroom built until the autumn)

congrats on making the list. what will you be featuring?

btw -- the photo they chose for that poster is rather unpleasant; a rather odd way to promote or is it hipster irony?

@vuk I just have one image in the main display (one you didn't appreciate as it was a 9 shot merge!!), I'm also running a workshop on the Saturday night ("Dusk into Night"), I'll also be attending two Street Photography workshops, talks from Mark Littlejohn and Sean Tucker, and drinking plenty of beer!!!

Full details of whats are on are here (opens in Microsoft Sway), just scroll down, there is plenty of info https://sway.office.com/rqI5T5PHBEIK0nMK?ref=Link&loc=play

For those in the UK, this is a very cost effective exhibition (£5 gets you everywhere) and all the talks/workshops are very reasonably priced (Free/£10/£20), and hotels are cheap in Hull

well, i've changed my mind on that (was in a very bad state back then). you are going to have to teach me how to do this merge stuff one day.

@Mr Perceptive - congrats on getting an image into the main display! Really happy for you :)

I'd love to come along to this but have used up all my brownie points to be allowed to go for a few days to The Lakes with a friend of mine in late Oct.

I'm sure it will be a great event.
