    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

OK, I'm highly biased, but to me two of the greats that europe sadly missed were:

    Australian Crawl

And the better known, sublime, Split Enz

We never missed Split Enz... their output sold here. The Enz then split and became Crowded House and we bought their stuff too.

    YNWOAN 100% Analogue

Yes, ‘I Got You’ was a hit at the time in the UK. In the end the output of Split Enz and Crowded House was just too MOR for my taste (with the exception of a couple of singles).

Yet early Split Enz was anything but MOR. Crowded House is what Wings were to the Beatles :)

The Go-Betweens should have been monstrously huge and they were Aussie as well. Here's a session track from Peely in 1983.

The Church were never as big here in the UK as in their native Oz. A real shame.

Love The Go-Betweens and The Triffids.
The first side of Woodface is bloody brilliant.

This seems to be the thread on great underrated Antipodean 80s bands ;)

    How about some Severed Heads?

A shame that a lot of material seems to have been pulled from Youtube since I last checked, which was a while ago.

Underrated by whom though? The public? The critics? The Heads?

For Against - American post-punk / alt rock band. Their second album December from 1988 is superb. Sadly nothing on Tidal.

Good shout. For me they peaked on their final album.

While none passed entirely unnoticed, I felt Big Black, A.R.Kane and (straddling the 80s into 90s) Bark Psychosis all deserved a much bigger commercial and critical tick than they received.
