1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Help identifying a pipe?

Can anyone help to identify the pipe below?

I bought it 30 odd years ago in Salisbury and sat down on it in my back pocket to much wailing and gnashing of teeth.

I have half a memory that it was a local maker, maybe Devizes?

    No rough shag jokes please!

    Knocked your pipe out there.

You could always convert it to a cigarette holder.

If I'm not mistaken, the stem immediately behind the bowl bears the legend 'London England' ..which is a fair way from Devizes...

    Yes, I should’ve got that!

All other markings are illegible btw, some sort of inscription (3 letters/symbols inside a diamond??) on other side of stem

Drill it out and insert brass Bush. Simples. Youll need a sharp bit and good clamp.

My Dad used to glue his broken pipes with Araldite and strengthen the joint with Heatshrink sleeving. It was unfortunate that in those days he only had yellow heatshrink.

Disappointing, as I was hoping this thread related to the exploits of @Mullardman.

Why don't you just buy a new pipe?

I would, but I can’t find one like the one I’ve broken; small, small bowl, straight, unfussy....
