1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

sounds like you may have spotted a plane mudlark, it's just white light moving across the sky and takes a couple of minutes... about 7:15 this evening

About 30 second in you see the shuttle chasing the ISS - Mudlark, You should see one light like this - it moves pretty quick

It is a fantastic pic - the guy that took it must be well chuffed.

Great subject indeed (what a shot from that amateur!)..

but sorry to spoil the fun, and do prove me otherwise, but Gerard I cant see the ISS would have been visible from Manc today.. at 6.05pm it was at a longitude no further north than London... oxford.. bristol.. sort of azimuth (ideal for me here in stix with no village street lighting.. if Id known).

The Captain - If you stick your location in here you can find out when its visible in your neck of the woods.

Long story, but I was lucky enough to get a 'birds eye view' of Kennedy Space Center and the surrounding area back in 1986 (unfortunately just after the Challenger).

Had a grandstand view from the cockpit of an RAF C130 flying into Patrick AFB...

Well there's an odd discrepency then if it was directly over london at 6.05pm (according to a site that is always spot-on with timing/ direction etc).. then visible from manchester at "07.13 PM" which I assume is 7.13 PM.
