1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Hi all, first post here so apologies in advance for any newbie terms I use.

Right, just about to make the Aktiv leap with my system (Linn Kolektor/2 x LK85/Axis/Meridian 507/Keilidhs)

Plugging the stereo cards into the 2 LK85's is straightforward so no issues there.

Haven't looked into the Keilidhs yet, but I intend to use only the 2 amps to drive them actively. At the same time as altering the wiring on the crossovers, I have a set of 3 bar tweeters to upgrade the earlier mesh ones.

Instructions say to cut the four links and resolder two wires. Taken a look inside and is one of the links (link 4) not a bridge to maintain using only one Lk85 to drive mid/bass? Do I use the active bass connection on the rear for the banana plug connection, or leave in the middle as with the passive setup (suspect this is dependant/irrelevant due to any internal bridge!)

Thanks to anyone more knowledgeable than myself in advance before I go blowing anything up unnecessarily!
