1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

[WTD] MC Phono Stage with lots of settings (e.g. Vertere)

I'm looking to try MC phono stages that have a good set of options for resistive loading and preferably capacitance too. The particular loading range I need is around 200 - 250 Ohms (for a Miyajima Takumi). Ideally I would like capacitance settings up to at least 1000nF for MC.

The Vertere is one such stage, so I'm particularly interested to try that, but interested in what is out there. The Vertere is also around the right price bracket, so bear that in mind if you have something to offer.

Please send a pm if you have anything of interest.

egodissolve ....you're telling me Unicorns aren't real!

MAX over in the Trade sales had a Trigon Advance SE which has the flexibility you need. Don't know if he has sold it though, I have heard one and it's very good.

The Trigon has plenty of resistance settings but is very limited in capacitance settings, and the highest gain is 60dB. That's probably just about enough, but I'd prefer a bit more headroom. The Vertere is also relatively low gain (just under 62dB), but I know I'm fine with 64dB, so that should just about do it.

I might have my Leema Elements Ultra up for grabs; zillions of loadings!
