1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

We've recently been donated a Meridian 568 digital processor and a pair of Meridian M60 speakers at the Oxfam shop I volunteer at and I'm having a bit of problem with them. After finding out that the 568 didn't work as it had no main fuse in it I now have a strange clicking sound coming from the speakers. It starts after about 30 seconds and the green light flashes at the same frequency, say once every few seconds. music is coming through at the same time and it does the same thing whether the 568 is off or on. Any ideas?

Reset the Type on the 568. You can use a lappy and serial cable, or front panel, the software is on the meridian historical area of their site

Page 68. Choosing a built in Type effectively performs a reset. There is a Clear command which may work but I’d reset the Type anyway to sell it on ready for the buyer to configure.

Thanks for the suggestion about resetting the type on the 568 but already did that , set for 2 channel no subwoofer and it plays fine that way. Trouble is you can still hear the clicking and see the light flashing even when playing and it continues if the 568 is turned off and disconnected! I have joined the Meridian forum now and will try asking on there. Cheers Steve
