1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

About the only thing holding massive organisations to account is the threat of litigation.
    That includes the NHS.

well thats the end of all mortgage applications !!!! what a PITA , just spent 6 months trying for a family member and now its all on hold for a good few months !!! happy days eh

"The housing market has been thrown into chaos amid the coronavirus outbreak with the government urging people not to move homes and banks stopping mortgage lending.

Amid a country-wide lockdown with restrictions on movement and socialising, Cabinet Office minister Michael Gove suggested yesterday that people should cancel plans to exchange house contracts or rent somewhere new and stay home.

He also suggested that those who already have exchanged contracts should complete their moves to their new houses.

However, moving companies are cancelling jobs amid the pandemic, leaving people unable to move in."

Like others upthread, I am sorely disappointed at not being eligible for damages or compensation having not been daft enough to buy financial products that were either shit or so opaque I didn't understand them.

The Daily Mail trumpets effect of global pandemic on house sales? I think this must be a knowing joke by the work experience boy.

I think you may have misjudged the illocutionary direction of my comment.

That's inconvenient. I've just sold my parents' house, but waiting to exchange. The buyers are retired and downsizing from Cambridge, so I expect there's no mortgage involved, but if the removals people are pulling back, that's going to be an issue

Gove has told solicitors to stop exchanges of contracts too.

At the time I posted I made it clear that I hate the rag.
I could not find anything else and I could not refer the emails my daughter’s firm of solicitors had received.I overcame my hatred of the Mail to give hifinutt some information that he may not have been aware of.
It is now common knowledge and the front page of many papers today.
