If Chelsea only win The Super Cup against Liverpool in 2019, I'll be happy. The Blues are having a bit of a rest this year, so it will do fine.

Liverpool's Goalkeeper Alisson Becker has a calf injury and can't play. What a shame.

I think he wanted Premier League football. I'm surprised that we were the only team who wanted him.

He signed a new contract with Huddersfield before the loan was agreed. No idea what fee we are paying but I guess that the loan fee for Knockaert would cover it. Don't know if there is an obligation to buy at the end of it.

I'm not, he's ok, bit one dimensional and predictable - didnt even get a game with the first team @ MCity. Good for mid-prem-table, or championship.

We didn't have a choice, he wanted to play in EPL, he's 28/29, so he signed a new 3 year contract with us in return for being loaned to Brighton. Protects our asset, gives him a higher profile which could inflate his fee etc. Far from ideal but most fans are actually pleased for him as he is too good for another season in championship. Best player I've seen in our colours, works so hard, no flashiness about him.

Yawn, there's more to life than supporting & following the top six. City bought him as an investment, many players wouldn't get in their side, I think he would improve a lot of EPL teams.

Yeah, I had an Escort like that, it never scored once.

As well as being lousy up front, it was leaky at the back, the mid section was full of holes and it was very frail on the wings.

    And it never started...

...hardly ever got off the bench....

    ...etc...etc

Because he was loaned out straight away to develop his talent. He’s a very good player from the couple of times I’ve seen him play, he’ll do well in a good passing side.

what do you mean? You make assumptions about me, and my reasons for referring to the top 6

My team is top 4, I was born into it, born down the road from the club, 4 generations of family. Once that team played in the 2nd tier, in my life they have won some stuff, but have also been in mid table mediocrity, and lower table.......I recognise a player playing at mid table mediocrity.

As it happens I also follow and attend our local non-league team.

Afraid not, how about you? Radio job here, difficult to compare what the commentators seem to see than I do on MOTD

yes, my brother lent us his season tickets. Had a great day, at the match, and dinner in London. Unfortunately I twisted my ankle and have damaged my ligaments, so am hobbling around ATM.

My assumptions were pretty correct then;) I don't have the good fortune of being born near a current Top 4 club. Mooy is a very good player, he would improve most teams outside the top 6. I have seen him play very well against good teams. Not good enough for City is hardly a massive critique of a players worth. I've watched Huddersfield in all 4 divisions, suffered many a year of utter shitness, you are a very lucky supporter.

    Isn't it just!
Chelsea a bit unfortunate to be behind but a lot of positives.

Had a couple of good away days at Huddersfield. I’ve followed City in three divisions, and mostly through thin and thinner. I still remember turning the radio on in my office and hearing about the takeover. Funnily one of my favourite ever matches was at Maine Rd against Huddersfield, can you guess which one? :)

10-1? I do recall that Rob Edwards scored a wonder goal against City at Main Road in a 2-1 win. I don't begrudge City their success as they have been in Utds shadow for a long time; money talks etc. We did supply you Andy Morrison who helped get you out of League 1 I think? He was something of a cult player, complete nutcase.

Andy Morrison was a great favourite of mine. A complete hooligan, who’d run through a brick wall for his team. He also could play a bit, he could play a decent ball but wasn’t the quickest. It’s certainly strange turning up and watching Pep’s wondrous football, sometimes a bit boring though as so much of the drama has gone, it’s only against a few teams that they look troubled.
