1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Oh Britain, what have you done (part ∞+20)?

I rather presumed that you’d already done the google search as that seemed your only point of reference for your ‘Corbyn is hard left’ assertions.

If you haven’t done a google search, what is your point of reference?

To distract from genuine debate while being unable to justify the stated view. It takes up space to no effect.

But you prefer May take us through the next 5 years.

It's Corbyn or May, you choose May.

My stance on Labour has not changed in my lifetime.

Show me where I have deviated from this on my time on here & your post will not be the biggest load of bollocks to date on this site.

It depends entirely on the outcome of Brexit. If it is averted then I want to see a progressive coalition and we can start rebuilding the country now. If however we get Brexit then I would like to see the Tories own it out right and the idiots that voted for get their chosen reality right in the face. After 5 years of hell the progressive left can start to rebuild whatever is left.

My nightmare scenario is getting the disaster of Brexit and the left gaining power just in time to take all the blame/allow the Tories off the hook. We’ve seen just how shit Labour are at handling something as simple as internal racism accusations, do you honestly think they wouldn’t be made to carry the can for the recession/depression and mass unemployment Brexit will bring? They’d take all the blame and signal in a lurch to the right for a very long time indeed.

PS Before whinging about this remember *you* did it!

It needs Labour to change the course of this country now, regardless of Brexit. 9 years of devastation is quite enough.

You & your cohorts will be voting Tory by proxy.

The Greens, SNP & Lib Dems. I’ll need to read the TIGs’ manifesto before adding or subtracting them from any list. Remember I am not a Labour voter, I have almost all my life voted Lib Dem. I’ve not been especially happy with them of late (to put it mildly), but if they stick Layla Moran in charge I’ll very likely return. I’m not Labour by nature, e.g. I’ve very little time for the ‘70s trade union dinosaurs like Mccluskey, the RMT etc. Iraq aside I am probably far more a Blairite to be honest - I’m a boringly middle class small business owner/ex-IT contractor! I believe firmly in the NHS, education, arts funding, an independent BBC, good state infrastructure etc and I’m happy to pay tax for it, but I’m a million miles away from the Derek Hattons etc. I am not a ‘revolutionary socialist’!

There is no evidence that will convince you, and no leader willing to push through the policies you claim to support who would not appear unreasonable to you. I know you think we got here by way of small tweaks to the system and that we will get out of it the same way, but it's just not the case. It's going to take some steel to make the changes needed, and that's not going to be found in anyone who hasn't spent their adult life with their face set against the common sense of the last 20 or 30 years. Anyone who wasn't fighting in 2012 isn't going to fight now, it's as simple as that. There will be young people coming up of course. But I guarantee you are not going to like them.

We have been here many times.
Without Brexit the Tories would be riding high.
They would have won in 2020 as you well know.
