1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

An interesting structure - big timber framed church, St Catherine's in Honfleur, Normany dating back to the 15th century. Built using shipbuilding techniques - the roof resembles an upside-down hull - using axes rather than saws.

You're the photographer, it's your vision, you should choose mono or colour!

there is a lot to like about this, but something is just not working for me with the light. have you added vignetting or is this how it all played out? in any case, i'd like to see a much darker mastering.

Yes, this was a very tricky image to process. Whilst the Autumnal tree makes an obvious subject, the woodland around it is very chaotic / messy. I don't usually add vignettes in post but I did here to try and isolate the subject from the rest of the scene. I also played around with the RGB curves.

    Thank you! :)

Two firsts for me yesterday at the Cambridge University Botanic Gardens: a grass snake, and a snake swimming.
