1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Here we are then. Better late than never!

I’ve picked out the most mentioned (I hope!), but being limited to 10 slots maximum I’ve had to personally choose which to leave out where they tied for votes with those that did make the list (oh, the power, the power!). I’ve tried to randomise the order of the list a bit (so neither alphabetical nor by number of nominations).

You can’t see votes cast ‘til you’ve voted yourself, and you can’t change your mind once you vote. Votes are publicly visible.

I’ve set the poll to run for four days, so it’ll close on New Year’s Day.

Yep, agreed, thanks for pulling this all together. Very cool.

I'm in the lead and also in second. My third nomination (Courtney Marie Andrews) therefore surely deserves to oust one of the loser idiot nominations in the top ten poll.
Whaleblue, take note for next year when I nominate three albums lol :) good on you for facilitating this.

From the other threads I thought Khruangbin had a fair few mentions so I'm a bit surprised not to see them. I bought many albums this year but none of the above so shouldn't really be voting.

Mentioned twice in the “nominations” thread that ran through the year, and not at all in the “final” nominations thread. Soz!

errr, I count it three times on the first page of the final nominations thread!

Ah, Khurangbin vs. Khruangbin foiled my cross-check, but you’re right I missed it in the “final” thread as a contender. Soz again, I’ll try harder next year if I’m not sacked!

    No worries.

I voted for Chris anyway as that's the only one of those I've heard stuff from and it's pretty good.

@Tony L - by all means add an Amazon link list to my OP. Part of the point of the poll is to get folk listening to stuff they missed. I’ve been strangely busy the last few days!

Can't remember if I voted. The Cowboy Junkies and Sons of Kemet albums are good. But then so are Mitski's Be A Cowboy and Cardi B's Invasion of Privacy.

Cheers. The Christine and the Queens album is great as well, in a very polished way.

    Hook Blackbeard's former bo'sun.

Totally forgot about A Perfect Circle’s “Eat The Elephant”.

By far my favorite non-jazz album for 2018.
