Pearl Bailey - C'est La Vie. Lovely UK Columbia mono 1st pressing from 1963 with laminated flip-back sleeve and 1N matrix. Grades at a nice tidy EX/EX throughout. £10.00.

Be My Weapon - Greasy!! This is a new release from ex-Swell members on pfm member richgilb's Mollusc label. Some details and links in the pfm music room here.It is pressed on a lovely transparent splatter vinyl, brand new £12.00 (initial stock 5: 1 copies available).

Harry Belafonte - The Many Moods Of... 1962 UK deep-groove Decca-pressed RCA 'silver spot' Living Stereo. Grades at a respectable VG++/VG+, just a little ageing to the laminated flip-back sleeve and a couple of very superficial marks to the vinyl £8.50.

The Bothy Band - Old Hag You Have Killed Me. Scarce 1976 folk album on Polydor, EX/EX £12.50.

Bread - Lost Without Your Love, gf, lovely UK 'butterfly' Elektra original A3/B3 matrix and a really strong EX/EX £12.50.

Bread - Everything I own & Hits. Two very rare mid-70s Australian four track 7" EPs on the 'caterpillar' Elektra label, with front-laminated picture sleeves catalogue no EPE232 and 234. Both grade at EX/EX selling as a pair and probably well under value as they really are quite rare! £25.00.

Billy Cobham - Magic. Lovely 1977 UK 1st press on CBS with insert, EX/EX £12.50.

*Ry Cooder - Election Special, deleted LP and CD, 2012 Nonesuch label, NOS still sealed £20.00.

Xavier Cugat - Cugat Caricatures. 1964 UK Mercury stereo pressing of classic vintage lounge-core/'space age bachelor pad' stuff, EX/EX £10.00.

The Danny Boys - Days Of The Week. Rare 1987 3 track 12" indie pop on Manchester's Ugly Man records, very collectable C86-type stuff, EX/EX aside from very small top-seam split £7.50.

Wilbur De Paris And His New New Orleans Jazz - Over And Over Again. Nice US Atlantic stereo original of nice energetic New Orleans stuff. It grades at EX/EX and has a small deletion cut top left £10.00.

The Enid - Touch Me. 1979 prog-rock, this is a nice UK 1st press on Pye and is in EX/EX condition aside from a little Permastat 'P' sticky on the label that I'll leave be as they don't like to be removed (I'll give the record a good wet clean on the way out, but this stuff wasn't problematic IME) £10.00.

Brian Eno - Here Come The Warm Jets/Before And After Science. This is an odd one, it is a promo-stamped and corner-cut pre-release copy of the 1979 Polydor Double-Back reissue of the two albums. The odd thing is the copy of Here Come The Warm Jets is actually the pink-rim Island, so I assume this copy was mocked-up before the Polydor label reissue of this title was ready. The Cover as mentioned is corner-cut and promo-stamped and grades at EX, the vinyl is a superb EX to NM, this has to be very rare £35.00.

FM UK - Indiscreet. US deletion cut copy signed by band, three sigs in silver on the front, one in black on the rear, inner VG++/EX £10.00.

FM - Tough It Out. White label promo copy in plain white card sleeve fully signed by band with two sheet promo insert. Sleeve in rather grubby and yellowed condition, vinyl EX £10.00.

Erroll Garner - Mambo Moves. Nice 1965 Mercury mono 1st pressing with laminated flip-back sleeve and period Philips advertising inner sleeve (record cases, racks, cleaners etc) in EX/EX condition. A lovely copy of a seldom seen jazz album. £15.00.

The Goons - The Best Of The Goon Shows. UK gold/black Parlophone mono original with laminated flip-back sleeve. A couple of light marks and a little discolouration to rear sleeve so say a nice VG++/VG++ and nicer than most one sees. £10.00.

The Hardy Boys - Wheels. 1970 film/book spin-off curio, this appears to be a factory sealed new old stock US RCA Dynagroove original (maybe first) pressing, has very small deletion cutout £8.50.

Steve Howe - Beginnings. Nice 1975 UK Atlantic original issue with A3/B2 matrix and a nice EX/Ex throughout £10.00.

The George Hatcher Band – Dry Run, very seldom seen 1976 UA original with laminated gatefold sleeve, couple of very light sleeve-removal / handling hairlines, but still real nice, say NM/VG+, kind of pub-rocky £7.50.

Jackie O'Motherf___er - Change. scarce avant/post-rock on Textile Records from 2002 with insert VG++/NM (cover knocked down for a slight corner ding) £15.00.

Elton John - Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. 1978 UK limited edition on yellow vinyl with triple-fold sleeve and hype sticker. This is a truly stunning copy, flawless aside from just a little fading to the green on yellow 'Limited Edition on Yellow Vinyl' hype sticker, so an easy NM/NM with just nothing to knock it down. Copies in this impossibly good condition can make very serious cash these days (check Popsike!) so my pricing is reasonable £100.00.

John Keating - Space Experience. 1972 EMI Studio 2 Stereo hi-fi stunt album featuring the EMS VCS3 synth amongst other things, a collectable slab of ‘70s Space Age Bachelor Pad, lovely EX/EX copy £12.00.

Dr Kinchev & Co - “Alice” Group. Odd 1985 Russian rock/indie stuff on Melodiya, EX/EX, not something one sees often at all. Much of the cover is in Russian so it might be something else! got to be worth £6.50 just on the WTF? scale.

Luxuria - Lifelines 1990. Interview / career retrospective on Beggars Banquet featuring Howard Devoto & Noko, includes Buzzcocks, Magazine etc. A rare item in EX/EX condition £15.00.

The Magnetic Fields – I Thought You Were My Boyfriend: Remixes By Rob Rives. Ultra scarce promo only 12” on Nonesuch featuring 2 housed-up mixes of Stephen Merritt’s Americana classic. Such a bizarre idea that it probably works! £4.50.

Magnum - Wings Of Heaven. Cover signed by three members. Vinyl has a mark at end of track one but it plays through with just a couple of pops, say VG++/VG++ (slight top seam split) £8.50.

Henry Mancini - Music Of Hawaii. Stunning mid-60s Canadian deep-groove RCA with paper-on-board sleeve (still mainly in shrink-wrap). Grades at NM/NM £15.00.

Herbi Mann - Impressions Of The Middle East. Lovely early '70s US Atlantic stereo reissue of 1967 jazz title (later label colours). The heavy gloss laminated gatefold sleeve is in VG++ condition due to a little spine wear and discolouration to the very top edge of the inner gatefold, the vinyl a nice EX. A lovely copy £15.00.

John Martyn - Foundations. 1987 UK Island 1st pressing with A1/B1 matrix. Grades at VG+/EX due to a small snag/tear to top of sleeve opening and crease, someone obviously caught it sliding it back in their record shelving. Other than that a great copy £8.00.

John McLaughlin - Shakti. 1976 UK CBS 1st pressing with A1/B1 matrix in lovely strong EX/EX condition £15.00.

Ralph McTell - Spiral Staircase. Lovely UK Transatlantic issue in heavy gloss laminated sleeve. This is the second label version with the full-colour globe on one side, but still early enough to have an A1/B1 matrix and it grades at a really strong EX/NM £15.00.

The Moody Blues - On The Threshold Of A Dream. Nice early UK stereo Deram copy with laminated sleeve with stereo/mono hole and stapled-in booklet (later copies had a matt sleeve, no hole and the booklet as a loose insert). The matrixes are 4W both sides, so not a first press, but has to be fairly close given the cover. Grades at a nice EX/EX aside from a spine-crease indicating some life in a shop rack, a lovely copy. £12.50.

The Moody Blues - A Question Of Balance. Nice 1970 UK 1st pressing with first Threshold label design, the envelope-style gatefold sleeve, insert and 1W matrixes each side. Grades at EX/EX £12.50.

*Original Mirrors - Heart-Twango & Raw Beat, seldom seen 1981 album from Ian Brodie (Big In Japan, Lighting Seeds, that football song etc). This is an original UK Mercury copy with textured sleeve and inner and grades at EX/EX aside from a deletion hole through cover and inner £10.00.

John Otway - Where Did I Go Right. 1979 UK Polydor 1st press with heavy laminated sleeve in immaculate NM/NM condition, looks brand new! £15.00.

The Passage - Degenerates. Unique new-wave/synth-pop classic on Cherry Red from 1982. Wonderful stuff IMO, nothing else sounds even remotely like this. This nice French-pressed (as were most Cherry Red albums) A1/B1 first press copy grades at VG+/EX, cover marked down to a little laminate-lift and a little fading on the spine-edge (most copies suffer from both issues, mine is the same!). Recommended £15.00.

Peter, Paul & Mary - Album 1700. Lovely US stereo original on a solid green Warners label with paper-on-board sleeve and printed inner. Condition is a very tidy EX/EX throughout, a really nice example of this vintage US folk album £15.00.

Peter, Paul & Mary - In Concert Vol. 1. Lovely gold label WB mono UK 1st pressing with laminated flip—back sleeve and -1 matrixes. Grades at EX/EX aside from what looks like a minor pressing fault track one side two which plays fine but crackles a bit. Despite this issue it’s a lovely copy of a hard to find first pressing £10.00.

Poppy & The Jezebels - Follow Me Down. 2007 release from indie / goth girl band, this is the numbered limited edition with fully signed insert and is in M/M condition £12.00.

Elvis Presley - Elvis On Stage/That's The Way It Is. Consider this a mystery item as I haven't the faintest clue what it is. It is a double album from I would guess China or South Korea, I'm working on the assumption it is official, but I can't guarantee that. I can't find it on Discogs. It is on 'First Records' and looks to be pretty old. The sleeve design is most odd in that it is printed paper enclosed in polythene and is a gatefold. It grades at VG+/VG++ and may be worth anything from 75p to One Million Pounds, yours for £8.50.

Dory Previn - Reflections In A Mud Puddle. Lovely 1971 UK United Artists 1st pressing with laminated gatefold sleeve, A1/B1 matrixes and complete with the rare poster very early copies had. This really is an immaculate copy, NM throughout and almost impossible to find in this shape £35.00.

John Prine - German Afternoons. US Oh Boy original, rare VG++/EX (a little light wear to sleeve) £10.00.

Suzi Quatro - Your Mamma Won’t Like Me, 1975 album on RAK in surprisingly good condition, vinyl is a nice strong EX with just a little light ageing and shelf-wear knocking the fragile textured cover down to VG+ £10.00.

    Renaissance - Azure D’Or, inner EX/EX condition £8.50.

The Replacements - Pleased To Meet Me. Original US Sire copy with inner, lovely strong EX/EX condition aside from deletion cutout to spine, quite rare and collectable now £12.50.

Keith Roberts – Pier Of The Realm. Rare 1972 Northern English folk album on York’s independent Trailer label, grades at VG+ (slight sticker mark, general ageing) / EX £10.00.

Royal Forest - Spillway. Vinyl release on Richard Gilbert (pfm member richgilb)'s Mollusc Records label. This is fresh sounding indie from Austin Texas with a psychedelic leaning, recorded by the band themselves (analogue) with mastering done at Abbey Road. You can have a listen to the album here on the label's SoundCloud stream or on Spotify. £12.00.

Sad Café - Facades. 1979 UK orange label RCA 1st pressing on blue vinyl and in EX/EX condition £10.00.

The Saw Doctors - If This Is Rock And Roll I Want My Old Job Back. Really tidy first pressing with inner, insert and A1/B1 matrix, an immaculate EX/EX (unusual given card inner) £20.00.

Shriekback - Hand On My Heart. One-sided promo white label with release artwork EX/EX £6.50.

Stereo Review - Binaural Demonstration Record. Audiophile demonstration of binaural recording techniques for headphone listening though can obviously be played via speakers too. No idea what it is like as it is factory sealed new old stock! £20.00.

Al Stewart - Live. Lovely German orange label RCA pressing from 1981, 2xLP, gatefold, insert and a very strong EX/EX throughout £12.00.

Therapy - Bringing The House Down. 1975 own-label private pressing UK folk album fully signed by both members and in lovely strong EX/EX condition. Has inner sleeve with sticker advertising their next album, a lovely copy £20.00.

Jacques Thollot - Cliq Hops. Very scarce 1978 jazz on French Free Bird label, EX/EX £15.00.

Vonbrigdi - Kakofonia. Ultra rare and collectable 1983 Icelandic new-wave album on Shout Records with insert. This is a lovely strong EX/EX copy, it's a pleasing racket for sure. £12.50.

Bob Wallis And His Storyville Jazzmen - The Wallis Collection. Original early 1960s Pye Jazz mono, one of the rarer seen of the UK jazz scene albums and in VG+ (a little age wear, discolouration etc to the laminated flapjack sleeve, but still decent)/EX £10.00.

The Bob Wilbur Quintet / Septet - Spreading The Joy: The Music Of Sidney Bechet. 1960 US mono original on Classic Editions label in a very heavy 'Impulse style' gatefold sleeve, it's in a respectable VG+/VG+ condition (sounds much better) and is a rather nice item £8.50.

Zoogz Rift – Water II. SST Records white label test pressing with photocopied track listing. A very rare item indeed in strong VG++ condition, supplied in stock white die-cut sleeve £10.00.

    Various Artists

Decca London Phase 4: Around The World And Beyond. Double album of space age bachelor pad/kitsch mentalism from the late '60s. This is a USA issue with UK pressed vinyl as was the way with the London imprint. I suspect this one is probably two Dacca Phase 4 LPs combined into the one package. Sounds absolutely stunning as these things tend to! EX/EX with slight deletion cut £15.00.

Decca - How To Give Yourself A Stereo Checkout, 1967 hi-fi setup and demonstration disk, EX/EX £7.50.

EMI: The Enjoyment Of Stereo. John Borwick (The Gramophone) introduces and compiles a selection of classic HMV material (classical) along with the usual test bands. This is the later digital-era variant of this album and is a nice German pressing with gatefold sleeve, should maybe be in the classical listing rather than here, but I'm classing it as a test LP. A nice EX/EX £10.00.

4 From The Madding Crowd. Rare 1986 album featuring two or three tracks a piece from The Royal Family And The Poor, Bushido, Intimate Obsessions, and Ohama Meets Dania. It’s on Third Mind Records, which I assume is a private pressing, and is in EX/EX condition £7.50.

The Golden Age Of Ragtime: album of piano-rolls (Scot Joplin etc), original Riverside label issue from the early ‘60s, small sticker to rear that I’ll leave as it will leave a mark and a small price (in shillings) but other than that a lovely copy £7.50.

Kicking Mule - Flat Picking Guitar Festival Featuring Eric Thompson, David Bromberg, Tom Gilfellon, Dick Fegt, Michael Aumen & Richard Leiberson, lovely EX/EX copy £12.00.

Musical Art Of The Peoples Of The USSR – Folk Music Of Estonia, 2xLP, gf. A most serious looking mono artefact on the Melodiya label, no details of individual artists, it appears more a document of styles and concepts, certainly a record with musicology leanings, not some lightweight tourist artefact, EX/EX aside from a little light ageing to fragile matt-white sleeve £10.00.

    Rock & Pop
