1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Some interesting neighbours in my vinyl collection, sorted A-Z by artist

    James Brown / Kate Bush
Leonard Cohen / Lloyd Cole & The Commotions
    Ian Dury / Bob Dylan
Half Man Half Biscuit / Hall & Oates
    The Orb / The Orchids
    Chris Rea / Lou Reed

And as I'm a Brummie my current favourites

    Nick Drake / Dr Calculus
    Stephen Duffy / Duran Duran

    Sure that can be bettered...

Going for a treble - AC/DC / King Sunny Ade / Herb Alpert

Maybe sad that I only have one King Sunny Ade record...

LOL..My collection starts at ACDC..or it could have been a good (terrible?) quad..

Actually, come to think of it, I might have a couple of Abba records in the 'to sell' pile, but they're not on the shelf so don't count..

Marchbanks Golly, do I ever have a lot of soul!

I would file Warren G next to Peter Gabriel, if I had anything by him (Warren I mean.)

That’s more like it! Mine would be far more interesting if I had rock, jazz & classical, plus vinyl & CD filed together!

    Harrumph. No Magma?

I've been lurking in this forum for a while but I had to sign up to say that that exact run - Magazine/Magma/Mahavishnu Orchestra - features in my collection! (Big Magma fan here BTW!)

I can do that kind of in that I have a full set of Magazine and Magma’s MDK on vinyl, but the Mahavishnu Orch is on CD and filed under ‘jazz’!

My records are just randomly shelved...in no order what so ever. I just put them back where there is a space.

On day I might get around to filing them properly. ( maybe )

Or just put some vastly-differing stuff next to each other and post about it, to impress others with your eclectic genre-spanning tastes and irk the purists
