    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    yes!

having someone like him on the show is going to keep the writers honest. it's not big deal to serve up dreck to the likes of anthony rapp, but i'm sure it would be humiliating to get a look of disapproval from patrick stewart.

I'm looking forward to it. And, yes, Sir Patrick is awesome.

If anyone is needing a quick shot of Patrick Stewart before the series appears, can I suggest getting hold of the film Excalibur (1981) which seems to star the RSC of the time, and follows the plot of L'Morte d'Arthur quite well. The film is both execrable and brilliant in the same way as Dune was a few years later. The overacting in Excalibur is fantastic. Nicol Williamson as Merlin is superb and clearly looked at his script and decided that hamming it up something rotten was the way to go - and it works brilliantly.

The film uses two pieces of Wagner and the most dramatic bit of Orff along with a reasonable score.

It is cheese. It is often bad, But very amusingly so. And by the end of it you will be quoting Merlin a lot.

Sir Patrick is from Mirfield in the West Riding of Yorkshire. So were he to do an accent, t'would be proper Yorkshire...

I'm too scared to watch, Joe.

Where is it on a scale of ST: D to ST: TOS?

    Stephen,

It's hard to tell from the short trailer, but it has one of my favourite Star Trek characters.

The Little flute in the theme at the end perhaps alludes to the fact he can play the Ressikan flute (“ST:TNG Inner light”) the cadence is the same.
