1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

It’s almost time for the 2020 Bristol HiFi Show!

As in previous years, we’ll be helping out Auden Distribution in Room 222 on the second floor, showing Amphion loudspeakers and Hegel electronics. This year we’ll be using the Amphion Argon 1 loudspeakers along with the new Hegel H120 amplifier that has replaced the Rost - this improvement has gained the digital section from its bigger brother, the H190, so has really pushed the sound quality on offer at its price point.

Anyone who has visited the show over the last few years will know just how good Amphion and Hegel work together, and how good they sound on affordable budget - so this year we won’t just be playing music, we’ll also be playing tracks from live gigs on Bluray from such artists as Steve Wilson, Kraftwerk, Hans Zimmer, Yello, Dave Gilmour, ZZ Top, and Rush. We’ll also be playing a few films clips too to illustrate that this system isn’t just fantastic with music, it’ll also produce great sound as part of an audio/visual system with only two speakers, without the need for going full surround sound. Any feedback on the system will be welcomed, as if it’s generally positive (obviously not everyone’s cup of tea), we may expand on this approach next year...

Hegel will also be just up the corridor in room 230, where the Hegel guys will be demonstrating a fantastic 2-channel audio system using mainly the amazing H390 amplifier.
