1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

In no particular order > some of the records played (maybe just a track or two, sometimes the whole L.P.) last night in my "give the cartridge a workout / drink a large amount of alcohol" session with my idiot friend > all on record/vinyl

    • Laurie Anderson - 'Big Science'
    • The Human League - 'Travelogue'
    • Butthole Surfers - Rembrandt Pusyhorse'
    • Pretenders - 'Pretenders' (mostly for Private Life)
    • Jacques Loussier - 'Reflections Of Bach'
    • Major Lazer - 'Free The Universe'
    • Led Zeppelin II
    • Deutsch Amerikanische Freundschaft - 'Gold Und Liebe'
    • X-Ray Spex - 'Germfree Adolescents'
    • The B-52's - 'Wild Planet'
    • Burundi - 'Musiques Traditionnelles' *this is a long time favourite of mine, outstanding - it never fails to surprise and amaze/amuse in equal measures* we played the whole of this.
    • Killing Joke - 'In Dub'
there was other stuff but to be honest I cannot recall. Apparently we ate a load of chicken? and I have a large cut on my hand.

    The new cartridge is amazeballs.

David Byrne - American Utopia on record.

I wasn't sure straight away with this album, but I am hooked. Yes, he does sound fragile and even 'off' in places, but I like it far more now.

If you can get tickets for a decent venue when he comes back later in the year - GO!
One of the best shows I've seen in a long time. So good I've got tickets to see him again in Brighton in October (Brighton's way cheaper than seeing him at the O2 btw - on the assumption you're at this end of the country)
