1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

TD - In Search of Hades

Enjoying the Albert Hall concert from '75. I've had this as part of the first Bootleg Box and the quality was good but this is taken from Manor Mobile master tapes and f**k me, it's good.

The Durutti Column - First Four

I bought this in Parrot records in Canterbury in '88. I had become a convert to them courtesy of my friend John who was very generous and let me stay at his house a short while when I got my uni accommodation sorted. Each night he played side one of 'Return of...' to go to sleep to; as soon as I hear 'Sketch for Summer' or 'Requiem for a Father' and I am transported back 31 years to the sofa in his back room, drifting off to sleep. Vini has made some great albums but it's those first four that mean a lot to me.

Gil Evans - 'Farewell Gil Evans & the Monday Night Orchestra Live at Sweet Basil'. Vinyl, King Record Co. original 1988 pressing. Decided to give this a spin before moving on to Evan's New Bottle, Old Wine in the Tone Poet series. Sounds great even if mixed down digitally.
