1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

The Beatles - Abbey Road, opening track 'Come Together' is a Ringo tour de force, makes the whole song swing. Oh & McCartney's bass...

john coltrane and johnny hartman. What a voice (and the sax player ain't bad).

coltrane - slow trane. A favourite from when his tone was still so beautiful (in the conventional sense).

Eric Dolphy - Eponymous. Vinyl, 1972 Prestige / Carrere French compilation. Remastered by Van Gelder, but the sound is surprisingly good for a compilation LP. Sides A & B from Out There. Sides C & D from Outward Bound.

Gerry Rafferty - City to city, on vinyl, bought today for £4. Proprietor of the excellent Kelham Island Bookshop commented that it was an excellent album that is worth almost nothing. Funny how some artists just don't attract any value.
