1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

What happens after Coronavirus?

When the Second World War ended, people who got through it wanted a better society, and great social change happened - the National Health Service being the prime example. When were are through Coronavirus, what will people demand? I’d start off with a society where it was never necessary for anyone, let alone a nurse, to go to a food bank. A society which didn’t have to keep schools open in the midst of a health emergency to ensure that poor children got fed. I suppose I am saying that when this is over, a lot of people will have suffered, they’ll have lost their jobs, their grandads, a big chunk of their lives, their education. Unlike Richard Branson, they won’t have had a private island to self-isolate on. What will these folk want? What do they deserve? What changes will happen?

They'll want what they want, they'll get FA and they'll get a tax bill to pay for it all. Remember who we voted for. Itsa will of da people innit?

With a pandemic on this scale/distribution, the takeaway lesson is to develop vaccine, and make mandatory immunization for this type of virion.

The SARS pandemic should have been the lesson to have done so, 17 years ago.

All children entitled to free school meals will still be getting fed.
It may be vouchers or sandwiches, but they will be fed from Monday.

Bearing in mind the behaviour of some during this crisis and during Brexit I believe that rules of basic good behaviour and care need to be re-established.

This virus is going to be a economic nightmare for the world. Never mind Mr Cummings will get us out of the EU at a time when markets collapse along with his puppet Boris.

My Chinese suppliers are back at work and talking like it never happened. Unfortunately they are supplying at a pace as if everyone's got it.

That people cover their coughs, like back in the good old days.

My hope is that the young will not be saddled with a huge bill, and instead have the resources to build a new, less selfish society.

I think we’ll see a mass exodus from cities and suburbs to the countryside. Working from home will be an accepted normality by far more companies, which will enable many more people to make the move.

Maybe a Socialist or Communist state or a Social Democratic Party or Green Party to be in government?

A more egalitarian society in western countries perhaps but I think it unlikely that it will cause disparities between the developed and developing world to narrow.

would need to take into account annual mutations like flu, and even then the annual flu vaccine is a best guess.

if 19 mutates into 20, you cant make an effective vaccine until you understand the mutation and then it is too late.

As some one who in my early years went through ww2 but grew up expecting decent housing to follow and bomb sites and prefabricated buildings to cease the sense that any thing made in Great Britain was the best ( only spoilt by my Timex watch and my absolute certainty that the BBC was giving out the wrong time) and we could all be optimistic about the future and Palace would get out of division 3 south.

Very little existed in the shops, rationing for food and clothing was in place, we had no central heating, cars , electric irons ,televisions ,let alone a Supermarket etc. Most people were friendly, Dads used to go to work, mums stayed at home to look after the kids and you had two weeks holiday each year.

Then our spirits were lifted by the festival of Britain and Hilary climbing Everest, then yipee until the Cold war and keeping up with the Jones took over.

All the blokes were called up for national service unless you were smart enough to wet the bed.

Gradual improvement, Laker Airway holidays, Blooms washing machines, Cyril Lord carpets, eventually Concord. Then with IRA bombing and the three day week followed by the devine" no such thing as society" who shall be the nameless bitch of bitches who was one who stocked up with food when GB was in trouble so gave a fine example to the greedy of that time about looking after number one at all costs.

Blah blah blah Austerity, wear a hoodie co'unt, people pissed off, more agressive society based upon an earlier Peter Sellers film "Feck you Jack"

Religious bit equals breakdown of marriage, single mothers rule, failure to teach kids good manners.

Today we face a very serious virus which we will hopefully get over if people are sensible ( not many are) stiff upper lip rules ,after all we are Brits and we got over the plague, Not sure that we can compare this tragedy with ww2.....certainly sure that the co'unt who spat in a girls face at the local Tesco because she would not allow him to take a more than reasonable amount of stock.

Never mentioned Sex-Drugs- Rock and Roll either.

    God save the queen......rant over!
