1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Aaahh, another Chinook owner, very cool! - Are you using the stock input tubes? I changed them out to Telefunken E88CC's but either way it's a fantastic phono amp.

I don't think I've replied to this thread, so here goes:

    JVC AX-Z1010TN integrated amp/DAC
    Tascam CD-RW900 MkII CD recorder
BW Broadcast RBRX Encore receiver, hooked up to a 9-element FM Yagi + rotator

    KEF LS50 speakers

There's a few other tuners sat in the stack e.g. Sony XDR-F1HD, Kenwood L-1000T, Denon TU-800L and Yamaha T-2 but the Encore is the go-to receiver.

Changed a bit since my last post, as Lodgesound (Stewart Emmings) left me 2 of his fabulous R2R machines in his bequest, following his very sad passing in June 2017. He inspired me to take up R2R machines with real gusto, and I am so grateful for all that he taught me in such a short space of time - RIP

Vinyl: Platine Verdier with GT Audio Battery PSU; Schroeder Model 2 + Allaerts MC1B; Hadcock 228 + Decca C4E (rebuilt by John Wright); TRON Seven Reference Phono
Amp: TRON Meteor preamp with TRON Voyager power amp
    Speakers: Avantgarde Duo

    It is rather nice.

My box of many tubes doesn't have any 88s in it. It's not that common in Europe. The UK's main two suppliers of tubes have Harmonix, Harma, Tesla, Phillips, National and Siemens. One of the Siemens versions are about $75 each. I'm actually about to cycle through 12AX7s in my main amplifier. I might have a play after that.
