1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Where has it all gone wrong?

I guess that depends on where they’re registered and/or live and whether they get paid via some tax avoidance scheme. There is allegedly something like 200 odd footballers are currently being investigated by HMRC.

Ronaldo has escaped a prison sentence but fined £16m in Spain for tax evasion. Similar story but lesser amount with Jose Mourinho.

We've got to this because idiotic working class people vote Tory.

Not only this, since CR7 there is an unwritten rule that says that top-earning footballers shall be very generous. In the end, HarryB's hungry little kids will come to more money now than before the Bosman ruling.

Nothing smart about it. The Tories never have represented the interests in ordinary people and they never will. Every time the Tories are in power the sick, the poor and the weak suffer. Would you like some examples?

Not so smart when the need emergency treatment at the local A&E but the department is shut and you have to travel another 10 miles or so for the next nearest A&E.
Or while you're lying on the floor having a heart attack, but the ambulance service is so busy, you die because it took over an hour for them to get to you.
Or you or your partner have a problem whilst giving birth, but because they have no Doctors to help at your local hospital, you have to be taken by ambulance to the next nearest hospital and you lose your baby on the way.

These are all true stories. The guy that had the heart attack was a relation of my girlfriend. The girl that lost the baby was a friend of a friend.
Voting for death a suffering is sick as far as I'm concerned.

I have no doubt they're true. I could add dozens more off the top of my head. If I called on my wife ((35 years in nursing) or my daughter (a specialist intensive care nurse) or my daughter-in-law (a doctor) they could add hundreds of harrowing tales.

But it's not just the NHS that these smart and not so smart Conservative voters are allowing the Tories to destroy; everyorthwhile aspect of our society has been under attack from the nasty party. Social care, probation services, the fire service, the police service. It goes on and on and on.

    Not so clever then.

You can't make comparisons with what entertainers earn & the homeless situation, it's ludicrous, we have no idea what these people give to charity or how they spend their (entitled) funds. Stopping the player from earning what he is entitled will not home a homeless person, the two are not compatible.

Here is a breakdown of premiere league clubs finances, how this relates to the ills of society I havn't a clue.

Inequality isn't about how much some footballer earns compared with a factory worker, it's about opportunity, how government respond to poverty stricken areas of the country, this is how inequality will be solved.

Jesus wept, this has f@ck all to do with party politics. Its about billions of pounds being poured into football via TV revenues, and ending up straight into the pockets of the very very lucky boys who just happen to be good at kicking a ball around enough for people to want to pay these subscriptions.

Its the same all over Europe. Money has ruined sport and the so called governing bodies are complicit in the greed.

We had 'entertainment/gossip/reality' tv. Now social media has blown the cult of being famous for being famous to another level. Why are people interested in their lives ? I don't know. Why do people 'follow' ? I don't know. Why do they pay more for an endorsement ? I don't know.

I played football every night after school, and with cubs, scouts, school, county, college, university and a hair raising stint in the Essex Sunday league - it was in my blood.

I barely even watch Match Of the Day anymore; it's been squeezed so badly by the likes of Sky that I can find hardly any joy in it now. Only World Cup and Euro's bring any interest.
