1. Things you need to know about the new ‘Conversations’ PM system:

    a) DO NOT REPLY TO THE NOTIFICATION EMAIL! I get them, not the intended recipient. I get a lot of them and I do not want them! It is just a notification, log into the site and reply from there.

    b) To delete old conversations use the ‘Leave conversation’ option. This is just delete by another name.

Then also 12" Monitor Golds in the house system(other system is the workshop one) with silver crossovers...Huge inert cabs.
    JR 149's
    Then Urei 811As...
Later with homebrew subs based on Mission plate amps and JBL 2226's
    Urei 809's too.
    With Decca ribbons
    JBL 4410's restomodded
    JBL L40's
and another pair of 4410's, ditto mods.

I won't comment on individual models strengths and weaknesses, but overall generally I'd rank them something like this....best to worst:

Urei 811As...with homebrew subs based on Mission plate amps and JBL 2226's
12" Monitor Golds in the house system(other system is the workshop one)...with silver crossovers...huge inert cabs.
    Autographs with Monitor Reds
    Urei 809's with Deccas

    JBL 4410
    JBL L40
    Linn Isobariks
    Musical fidelity MC4

    Interesting speakers.

LS3/5a cannot really be in kit form as I believe that part of the specification was final testing and adjustment. This is why the Chartwell Project Symphony was given it's name. I used to visit the original Chartwell factory quite as bit. I have Chartwell LS3/5a's, and home-made clones as I would call them.
